2015 Wish List
We appreciate your interest in making an in-kind gift to Hope House. There are many items that can assist our work in ending homelessness and creating healthy communities. The list below contains food, household and hygiene items that are most needed right now.
Donations can be dropped off at our office (209 W Orchard St) any day of the week between 7am and 7pm. Unfortunately, we do not have a delivery van or the staff capacity to pick up donations from homes or businesses.
If you have questions regarding donations, please contact Communications and Development Associate, Rachel Quednau, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 414-389-3834.
Important: Please make sure to check the expiration date on any food you donate. Expired food puts our clients at risk for food-borne illnesses and requires additional volunteer time to sort through and dispose of such items. A good rule of thumb is: If you wouldn’t eat it, don’t donate it. We also strongly prefer that donated items be new - we cannot take used clothing or toys due to storage and hygiene concerns.
Finally, if you are looking for an impactful and simple way to support Hope House, please consider making a financial contribution. By giving financially, you enable us to purchase items in bulk, and to pay for intangible things like heating, electricity and staff salaries. Online donations can be made here. You can also include a financial donation as a check (made out to "Hope House of Milwaukee") when you deliver in-kind items.
