It's that time of the year again--The Feinstein Food Challenge has begun! From now until April 30th, donations to our food pantry have increased impact. The Feinstein Foundation will match donations to our pantry made between March 1st and April 30th. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to stock up for the summer months.

During the school year, parents can count on breakfast and lunch provided by public schools to keep their children healthy and full. Over the summer, parents who are already on a tight budget may find themselves in a bind providing for these extra meals. That's where the United South Side Food Pantry comes in! We provide emergency groceries to families and individuals in need, helping make ends meet when all else fails.

We offer healthy options, like fresh produce from the farms of Hunger Task Force as well our on-site garden, and a carefully balanced selection of groceries, including proteins, fruits, vegetables, and starches in every bag. We hope that our assistance can enable hungry people to choose health over easily accessible, inexpensive, sugary snacks.

If you want to donate to our pantry and support smart nutrition choices this spring and summer, please consider donating between now and April 30th! Want to really give it all you've got and organize a food drive? Give us a call and we'll help you with barrels for collecting food as well as promotional materials. You can contact us by phone at (414) 645 2122 or by email at katiec(at)hopehousemke.org
